I. CHOOSING A PROGRAM AND APPLICATION PROCESS:
Being away from home gives you the confidence and valuable life skills that will stand you in good stead, personally and professionally. You’ll learn a lot about yourself during this transformative experience and return home with an enhanced academic and real-world education. Apart from the educational benefits, studying abroad can enhance your future career prospects. Employers nowadays are looking for people who are adaptable and who can communicate well across cultures. In an increasingly globalised workplace, inter-cultural fluency is a sought-after attribute. Studying, as opposed to just travelling, in another country will expose you to a global mindset and a new style of education. You can fully interact, learn to understand different world views and better articulate your own.
Most programs require students to have at least sophomore standing upon commencement of the program; some programs require junior status. Think about your degree plans and speak to your Academic Advisor when deciding what would be the best time and program for you.
Yes! Depending on the program that you choose, you can stay at UEH in Vietnam, or at the host country/institution for up to 6 years. Check with your Academic Advisor to make sure you pick the best program for you.
No. Students are only allowed to apply to ONE program. Depending on whether you’re an INBOUND or OUTBOUND student, there are different choices for you to choose. Check out the following information to pick the most suitable program for you.

II. ELIGIBILITY:
Yes. Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in order to apply for study abroad/exchange programs. Some programs may require higher GPA due to their academic rigor and/or host institution requirements. Please check with your Academic Advisor for the latest information.
Yes for English, as all programs offered in our Exchange Programs are conducted in this language. The minimum English requirement to participate in any Exchange Program is IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. However, you do not need to know any other foreign languages (but it could be a plus for life abroad wherever you go).
Unfortunately no. You can only enroll at UEH if your home institution has established agreement plans with UEH. If you’re still keen on exploring us, talk to your university and get us in touch, we’ll work out a way to get you here!
III. COST & FINANCIAL AID:
- For exchange programs (MOU), your tuition varies by program and by the number of credits you register for at the time of joining the exchange program. Check with your Advisor for more details.
- For International Joint Programs and/or Collaboration Programs, your tuition will be dependent on the fee schedule indicated by the host university. Check with your Advisor for more details.

Additionally, scholarships are available for International Joint Programs and/or Collaboration Programs should you be eligible. Check with your Advisor for more details.

IV. OVERSEAS TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION:
Please visit or contact your Academic Advisor for assistance on how to prepare for your immigration application.
It depends. Please inform us at least 3 months in advance if you wish to receive help so we can arrange support.
This is dependent on the country you’re planning on studying/living in. The best solution is to reach out to UEH RMIC with your questions and let us help you put together your visa application.
No. Please contact the Academic Advisor or your Counselor at the host university for support.
V. OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS:
If under any circumstances that you have to withdraw from your current program, please take note that you have to inform us immediately (if urgent) or at least 1 month before your leave date. We will assist you with the required documentation to close your profile here at UEH, or better, if you wish to come back and continue your studies later on.
Check with your Advisor and peers at your host country to see the variety of activities you can partake in. Additionally, we recommend that you join student clubs to join the social scenes wherever you’re living.
